LLGA Terms of Use & Database Rights

The Laughing Leaf Genetics Archive (“LLGA”) is compiled and maintained by Laughing Leaf Seeds Ltd as a structured research and reference database.

The LLGA database compilation, original editorial content, structure, organisation, classifications, original summaries, research notes, presentation, graphics, code and other original materials are protected by applicable copyright and database rights where such rights subsist.

Individual factual information, cultivar names, breeder names, trademarks and third-party materials may belong to their respective owners and are not claimed as the exclusive property of Laughing Leaf Seeds Ltd merely because they appear within the archive.

Visitors may use the LLGA for ordinary personal research, education and reference purposes.

Without prior written permission from Laughing Leaf Seeds Ltd, users must not systematically extract, scrape, harvest, crawl, copy, download, reproduce, republish, redistribute, mirror or reconstruct all or a substantial part of the LLGA database.

Automated extraction intended to reproduce the LLGA, create a competing or substitute database, republish substantial portions of its contents, circumvent technical access controls, or systematically collect archive records is prohibited.

The LLGA must not be used as a source for bulk dataset creation, database reconstruction, automated corpus generation, model training, model fine-tuning, retrieval datasets, knowledge-base replication or similar large-scale machine processing without prior written permission from Laughing Leaf Seeds Ltd, except where such use is expressly permitted by applicable law.

Repeated or systematic extraction of smaller portions of the database may also be prohibited where the cumulative effect amounts to extraction or reutilisation of a substantial part of the database.

Normal search-engine indexing, ordinary linking to individual archive pages, reasonable quotation for criticism, review, research or other use permitted by law is not prohibited by these terms.

Access to the LLGA does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property rights.

Researchers, publishers, businesses or other organisations wishing to reproduce, license, analyse or otherwise use substantial portions of the LLGA may contact Laughing Leaf Seeds Ltd to request permission.

The LLGA is an evolving research archive. Records may be corrected, expanded, reclassified or updated as additional evidence becomes available.
